Kanye West Unveils Yeezy Showroom Beside Adidas Outlet On Melrose Avenue

The opening of a Yeezy showroom by Kanye West, now known as Ye, near the Adidas store on Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles has fueled rumors that the action is a kind of trolling against his previous business partner. Only a hair salon separates the new Yeezy location, a 7,400 square foot space at 8025 Melrose Ave, from Adidas, just two stores away.

Ye’s new location’s function is still unknown, however it may be used as a showroom, an office, or a store. One person tweeted, “What a troll,” and another added, “Must be nice to be rich enough to explore all your petty tendencies.” Fans have pointed out the proximity to Adidas as a probable act of trolling.

The new venue hosted Ye’s most recent YZY Season 10 event, “YZY FREE,” on Monday. The event, according to High Snobiety, was “extremely low-key affair,” with skinhead models wearing skin-tight white T-shirts. This debut comes after a casting call a few days ago at a warehouse in Los Angeles.

In October of last year, Adidas cut ties with Ye and his Yeezy apparel line in response to a string of anti-Semitic remarks made by the rapper. Investors have filed a class-action lawsuit against Adidas, claiming that the business was aware of his derogatory comments for years before terminating the agreement.

The brand’s former office space was reportedly facing eviction after missing two months’ worth of rent payments totaling $63,254, according to sources. It’s unclear if the prospect of eviction led to the relocation or not. However, the move to Melrose Avenue and the close proximity to the Adidas store have undoubtedly caught the media’s and fans’ attention.
