Kcee has released a new holiday single called “Thanksgiving.” For this tune that marks the end of the musical year for Kcee, the Afropop and highlife vocalist reunites with Okwesili Eze Group. Five Star Music releases this new praise record under an exclusive license to ONErpm. Kcee and the indigenous highlife band previously published the albums “Cultural Praise” and “Cultural Praise Vol. 2,” which recently came out.
The momentum to push out the new album was gained from the wild success attained by the first volume of “Cultural Worship,” which caught us all by surprise. Who would’ve thought Kcee would dabble into Gospel music at some point, let alone perform exceptionally well? And in a recent interview, when asked the reason for releasing gospel albums, Kcee replied by saying that he had always wanted to for over two decades. Moreover, the singer revealed that he began singing in church as a part of the choir and that he had been on his wishlist to curate a “project for God.”
He also thanked God for his successes and praised himself for staying consistent on the grind. Now, if you are already familiar with Kcee’s collaborative work with Okwesili Eze Group, you should already know that “Thanksgiving” is a sure vibe.
