“Keep Quiet!” – Mr. P Of P-Square Slams Seun Kuti Over ‘Peter Obi’ Comment
Son of Afrobeats Legend Fela Kuti, Seun Kuti, has come under fire for his latest remark against Peter Obi from Peter Okoye, also known as Mr. P.
Recently, Seun Kuti spoke out against Peter Obi’s presidential campaign, calling him an “opportunist.” And didn’t see him as the ideal Nigerian to lead the country out of Its present mess.
According to Seun, “He hasn’t had the time because he started too late. You can’t tell me that just because you lost the PDP primaries 18 months before the election, you suddenly started a movement and have a plan for the country. No, that’s opportunism. And it’s not an opportunist that will deliver Nigeria—not jumping on Labour Party. The Labour Party has a socialist structure. Peter Obi is a capitalist. So where are they going?”
Like other Well meaning Nigerians, Mr. P, one-half of the well-known Afrobeats duo P-Square, addressed Seun Kuti, a fellow Afrobeat musician, performer, teacher, and social critic, with no holds barred.
Mr. P had publicly endorsed Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate, as the Man for the people.
The angry Mr. P slammed the son of late Afrobeat pioneer Fela Kuti after the interview appeared on famous blogger Tunde Ednut’s page. He summarily told him to keep quiet.
Mr. P said that Seun Kuti had wiped his father’s History, adding that he is disappointed in the father of one.
He stated:
Dude, keep quiet! So so disappointed! The dude just erased his father’s History! You said only the people of Nigeria could save Nigeria! Are PO and the rest candidates not the Nigerian people?…. SHAME! SHAME!! SHAME!!!
