Latocha Releases Debut Solo Album “The Invitation”

LaTocha, a gifted vocalist and composer from the well-known R&B group Xscape, has released her first solo album, “The Invitation: A Conversation with God.” The CD is currently available via her Made Girl Music Label, in collaboration with Motown Gospel/Capitol CMG.

“The Invitation” is a one-of-a-kind collection of anthems, ballads, and inspiring songs that speak to the numerous emotions and experiences of life. Throughout the album, LaTocha’s extraordinary singing talent is highlighted, presenting a more vulnerable side of the singer. The album’s message of optimism is bound to resonate with those who listen.

“Music has been my passion and saving grace for as long as I can remember,” LaTocha says of the record. Even during my R&B career, I’ve always made it a point to give God thanks because he is the source of all my blessings, so to be able to unite my passion for music with my love and dedication for God, I couldn’t be prouder of this full circle moment.”

“The Invitation” features the powerful single “I’m Yours.” “This song is an affirmation of my heart belonging to God,” LaTocha says. We all go through difficult moments, but this song reminds us that no matter what we’re going through, we’re never alone. We belong to him, and he belongs to us. LaTocha’s debut single, “Stay With Me,” which is currently in rotation on both Gospel and R&B radio stations, preceded the release of “I’m Yours.” “The video concept for ‘Stay With Me’ is a live performance of me renewing my vows to God, asking him to continue to stay with me,” LaTocha said of the music video.

LaTocha is presently a cast member on the hit reality show “The Queens of R&B,” alongside members of the Xscape and SWV groups. The season finale of “The Queens of R&B” will air on Bravo on Sunday night.
