Latto Accused Of Shading Ice Spice; Claps Back And Asks Critics To Back Off

Latto is currently making headlines, and as usual, she is defending herself online.

The “777” hitmaker is in good spirits as “Big Energy” stays at the top charts, but success also attracts doubters. Latto’s social media clap backs are well known, and after she was charged with discreetly dissing Ice Spice, she added another to the Clapback list.

As the “Munch” rapper is a newcomer to the femcee scene, commentators attempt to stoke hatred again. The most recent disagreement arose because Latto reposted her birthday upload from 2020. She bent over in front of the expensive car and displayed her new Corvette.

Even though it appeared innocent, some recognized that the position was familiar. On the cover of her “Like…?” EP,  Ice Spice featured a drawing of herself in a comparable setting, prompting online commenters to claim Latto was targeting her peer and she didn’t like the controversial attention hence the response. Speaking against the narrative, she wrote,

“I don’t like how y’all take my tweets & make them fit ur weak ass narratives,”

According to a user, She was the one who encouraged the narrative.

Latto then replied, “Every time y’all accuse me of copying folks, ima clear it up. Nun mo nun less.💋.”

Latto went back to her Instagram Story after her comment became viral. First, she shared three selfies on three slides. Then she wrote, “LEAVE. ME. ALONE,” over the pictures.

Fandoms have come under fire for how they discriminate against artists, especially female artists. It’s a common misconception that it’s difficult for women to get along in the rap game, although femcee friendships have existed in Hip Hop since its inception.

Latto and Yung Miami were spotted earlier this week while filming a music video with Lola Brooke. The group appeared to be working on the music video for a remix of Brooke’s song “Don’t Play With It.”

And because of her recent spat with Nicki Minaj, Latto has received more internet criticism. This awful incident changed everything, even though the latter has been evident the entire career that she idolized Minaj. The ladies started arguing on Twitter after the Grammy nominees were revealed. Minaj objected to the idea of being included in the Pop category, and Latto’s name was soon brought up in the discussion.
