Libianca’s ‘People’ Reaches NO. 7 on UK Official Singles Chart

The current edition of the UK Official Singles Chart sees Libianca’s “People” climb to a new peak of No. 7 and stay on the chart for an additional 11 weeks. Libianca, a Cameroonian-American singer, has maintained her strong performance on the UK Official Singles Chart by reaching a new peak.

After its release, “People” has enjoyed tremendous global popularity, making it the first cross-genre Afrobeats hit of 2023. However, Rema’s “Calm Down” is still the top Afrobeat track in the UK, returning to its top spot at No. 5 and staying on the chart for 29 weeks.

“Rush” by Ayra Starr also sets a new peak at No. 24, rising four spots from No. 28 the previous week as it enters its eighth week on the chart. However, Libianca’s “People,” which has been at the top of the Official Afrobeats Chart Top 20 for 11 weeks, keeps that spot.

Holiday by Rema is at No. 2, while Who’s Your Man by Spyro is still at No. 3. The song “Gwagwalada” by BNXN features Kizz Daniel and Seyi Vibez one position to No. 4, while “Sability” by Ayra Starr falls to No. 5.

Burna Boy’s “Toni-Ann Singh” rises to No. 8, Joeboy’s “Body & Soul” climbs four spots to No. 9, Asake’s “Dull” & “Organise” land at Nos. 6 and 7. “MOTTO” by Lojay falls to position 10. At No. 11, Peruzzi’s “Pressure” featuring Fireboy makes its debut, followed by Fireboy’s “Diana” featuring Shensea & Chris Brown at No. 17 and Ruger’s “Red Flag” at No. 20.
