Lil Wayne To Replace Migos On The 2022 Governors’ Ball Lineup

The Migos have been dropped from the Governors Ball 2022 roster, and Lil Wayne will take their place, the event revealed on social media Tuesday. The switch was made mere days before the festival’s inaugural date. “Due to circumstances out of our control Migos are no longer performing at Gov Ball,” the festival’s account tweeted, before adding, “@LilTunechi will be playing the GOVBALLNYC Stage on Friday, June 10th at 6:30pm!”

While the event did not provide an explanation for the Migos’ absence, some speculated that it was a sign that the famed Atlanta group was parting up. “Gov ball just confirmed the migos break up fml,” wrote one user in reply. Quavo and Takeoff released the tune “Hotel Lobby” together sans Offset, which sparked rumors of a breakup among the three rappers.

DJ Akademiks recently stated that he has spoken with Offset and that he does not expect the feud to get to the point of a full breakup.

In May, Ak told TMZ that he “actually spoke to Offset just the other day, and while there might be some tense feelings, he doesn’t think any ‘beef’ will escalate to a full-scale split.” Wayne will be shutting it down on Friday, June 10 at 6:30 p.m. From June 10 to 12, the festival will take place.
