“Lizzo: Live In Concert” Premieres On HBO Max On December 31

Lizzo: Live in Concert, a Max Original concert special, premieres on December 31. “Lizzo: Live in Concert,” a Done+Dusted production, was recorded earlier this month at the renowned Kia Forum in Inglewood, California, during the The Special Tour of singer, songwriter, rapper, flutist, and actor Lizzo.

The finale of her incredibly intimate documentary “Love, Lizzo,” which premiered on HBO Max on November 24, is “Lizzo: Live in Concert.” The concert special will feature performers like Missy Elliott and SZA. Throughout the show, Lizzo will perform with her backup dancers, The Big Grrrls, her band The Lizzbians, and The Little Bigs.

This marks the conclusion of a banner year for her that also saw her host Saturday Night Live, perform as a musical guest, release her Emmy-winning reality series Lizzo’s Watch Out for the Big Grrrls, launch her shapewear company Yitty, release her album Special, and premiere her new documentary Love, Lizzo (now streaming on HBO Max).

Lizzo’s album “Special” was released in April of this year. Some of her most popular tracks, including “About Damn Time” and “Grrrls,” were included on the album. At the 2022 MTV Video Music Awards, the song was nominated for four awards. Lizzo won the VMA for the Video for Good Award that evening for her video for “About Damn Time.”
