On January 20, 2023, Warner Records will release 4 (The Pink Album), the long-awaited full-length album from Grammy Award–nominated, multi-platinum musician Lukas Graham. The Danish soul-pop singer-11-song songwriter’s collection, which is his most sincere and introspective work to date, describes his journey of self-discovery through the years.
Along with the announcement, Blythe Thomas-directed official music video for Lukas’ song “Wish You Were Here,” featuring ace R&B singer, Khalid, was made available.
The ode to best friends, which Ryan Tedder co-wrote and produced, is rapidly climbing the Hot AC charts. After dealing with his father’s passing, becoming a parent, and the highs and lows of an unthinkable ascent to stardom, Lukas discovered himself trapped in a cycle, self-medicating, and caught in a creative rut.
He decided to quit drinking in 2020 so he could devote more time to his family and music. Lukas composed in the same old rehearsal area, a 10-minute bike ride from his home in Copenhagen, getting back to his songwriting origins and creating his new full-length album.
On 4 (The Pink Album), he finally evaluates all that transpired at the time, reflecting on it all while also growing into the person he was always meant to be. In the end, it embodies everything he has been working toward and more.
