This will mark her first music release in nearly a decade. Furthermore, Lyte revealed that the next single would be released on June 9 and the album will be released on August 9. However, the femcee did not provide any other information regarding the forthcoming album. Meanwhile, she was recently awarded in March at the inaugural SEED Summit + Awards, founded by industry veteran Valeisha Butterfield.

On March 23, Dr. Lynn Richardson, Massah David, Miatta Johnson, and MC Lyte were all recognized. Additional creators, executives, and musicians who attended the SEED Summit earlier that day include Bryan-Michael Cox, Melanie Fiona and Estelle, 11th & Co chairman/CEO Ebonie Ward, Everette Taylor, CEO of Kickstarter, DeVon Franklin of Franklin Entertainment, and Monique Ludlett of Reign Ventures.

MC Lyte has always supported hip-hop’s female and female artists, even the tiniest ones.
