Don’t you just love it when our favourite celebs look out for each other? We were all proud when Ghanaian Dancehall star Sarkodie joined Beyoncé on the song “Already,” which was featured in the Lion King soundtrack album “The Gift.” It shone a light on the Ghanaian music industry.
Shatta Wale is all about pushing our sound further, and he just helped do that. Following American Hip Hop star Meek Mill’s visit to the motherland, Shatta Wale tweeted about him working with three prominent rappers in the music industry. Meek Mill headlined the Afro Nation concert, which was held on December 29th and December 30th, 2022, at Marine Drive, Black Star Square, Accra, Ghana. He even met the president.
Shatta Wale shared in a tweet that he wished Meek would work with MDK, Kwesi Arthur, and Sarkodie. He shared that Ghana needs it and urged fans to help campaign for it. Meek saw the tweet and granted the wish. He responded, stating that he would do three songs with them in one day, saying, “let’s find that Afro Trap bear we can all walk on.”
