Mystikal Denied Bond In Rape & False Imprisonment Charges

Mystikal has been denied bond in his rape and false imprisonment charges.

On Tuesday, August 2nd, Mystikal was denied bond by a Louisiana judge in the wake of the rapper’s arrest over the weekend. He is accused of beating, raping, and holding a woman against her will at his Baton Rouge home on July 31.

The Advocate reports that State District Judge Steven Tureau ruled that the evidence against the rapper, his past legal history, and the victim’s fears were enough to hold him in jail until trial. The “Shake It Fast” rapper allegedly attacked the woman during an “erratic and violent” encounter at his home on Saturday.

He allegedly took her car keys and held her against her will. According to an arrest warrant, Mystikal allegedly prayed with the woman (still unidentified) to remove her “bad spirits.” According to The Advocate, Tyler’s (Mystikal) defense attorney, Roy Maughan Jr., had asked for $250,000 in bail. He objected to the judge’s ruling afterward.

He maintains that his client is innocent. Mystikal is a lifetime registered sex offender. On Sunday, he was booked on first-degree rape, simple robbery, felony domestic abuse, battery by strangulation, criminal damage to property, and five drug counts added (due to a search of his home).
