New “X Factor UK” Footage Reveals How One Direction Was Created

One Direction fans have the chance to review some of the group’s past. The X Factor UK published some never-before-seen footage of the founding of the legendary boy band on Saturday, July 23, to commemorate the group’s 12-year milestone.

The astonishing moment when One Direction’s members were chosen by judges was captured in the video. Additionally, as viewers noted, Nicole Scherzinger was a big contributor to the formation of the group. You can see it for yourself if you skip to the one-minute mark.

Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh, and Nicole may be seen discussing potential group members in the video. Nicole eventually takes a photo of Niall Horan and sets it atop the desk. She makes a big point of saying that the judges thought highly of Niall.

Then, pictures of Louis Tomlinson and Harry Styles are superimposed over Niall’s picture. Nicole exclaims, admiring the group, “They’re the cutest boy band ever.” They are like small stars, thus you cannot get rid of little stars, she continues. You assemble them all.

Liam Payne is then added to the group by the judges. Even though Simon labels him a “standout,” he questions whether he fits in with Louis, Harry, and Niall. Nicole argues that he might be the leader or one of the leaders if he stands out.
