Nicolas Cage will play the lead role in the comedy-drama “Dream Scenario.”
Here’s an excellent film to look forward to, “Dream Scenario.” Hollywood star Nicolas Cage has been cast in the lead role for the comedy-drama. Deadline reports that Kristoffer Borgli is directing the movie from his own script.
Also, the film will be financed and produced by Entertainment Company A24. Ari Aster and Lars Knudsen are set to also produce via their Square Peg banner. Not many details have been revealed about the film.
Cage is expected to release a new film, “Renfield,” a universal action comedy in which he plays Dracula opposite Nicholas Hoult, who plays the titular character. Cage also previously played a comical version of himself in the Lionsgate Film “The Unbearable Weight Of Massive Talent.” The action comedy film directed by Tom Gormican was not a hit at the box office.
It cost $30 million to make, and it made a little under that. Cage played the lead role (himself), leading a supporting cast that included Pedro Pascal, Sharon Horgan, Ike Barinholtz, Neil Patrick Harris, Tiffany Haddish, and more. Gormican co-wrote the film’s screenplay with Kevin Etten. Rotten Tomatoes called it “Smart, funny, and wildly creative” and noted that the film “presents Nicolas Cage in peak gonzo form – and he’s matched by Pedro Pascal’s scene-stealing performance.”
