Nollywood actress and producer Ini Edo was overcome with emotion upon learning that her film, Shanty Town, had received ten AMVCA nominations. Ini Edo remarked with joy that while she anticipated receiving a nomination, she wasn’t prepared for it to arrive in such a grand fashion. She gave a big thank you to the whole cast and crew for their help.
Ini Edo appreciated the audience that spread the Shanty gospel far and wide. She declared them to be the true MVPs. She has joined the elite group of powerful Nigerian and African women in the film industry with her most recent work.
Ini Edo said in a statement to the Sunday Sun that the message of her most recent film, “Shanty Town,” is shedding light on the problems in our society and highlighting the majority of the issues that exist in our communities but that the majority of people are unaware of. Although pre-production took longer than a year to put everything in place, she claimed that the production of the series lasted about three months. Typically, it took two years to complete Shanty Town.
According to the event organizers, the eagerly awaited ninth edition of the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards will take place between May 18 and 20, 2023.
