Nonso Amadi Drops His New Single ‘Ease Up’

UK-based Nigerian singer Nonso Amadi has started the year with a new release titled “Ease Up.” Since the days of “Tonight,” the song that shot him to stardom, Nonso has been dropping classics, and the new single adds to the bunch. “Ease Up” follows the release of his 2022 single “Eye to Eye,” the third single he put out last year. Before that came two smash hits, the Majid Jordan-featured “Different” and “Foreigner.” Both songs have accrued over a million plays on streaming giant Spotify.

But while he worked on new music, he collaborated with a couple of international acts like Kofi for his single “I’m Yours,” released before the remix to “Closure” with female singer Savannah Re. Nonso has also been on different records with Public Goods, Kida Kudz, Tasha Angela, Ghanaian rapper Kwesi Arthur, and the iconic Paul Play. In 2019, Amadi released his second EP, “Free,” to positive reviews, featuring seasoned artists like Simi and Mr. Eazi.

In 2017, however, he rolled out a joint four-track project with Nigerian creative Odunsi (The Engine), both a singer and a record producer. In addition, Nonso Amadi, Harper Gordon, and TJ Whitelaw worked together to produce “Ease Up.” Like most of his releases, the song is usually addressed to his love interest. The upcoming project from Nonso is in production and should be released this year! But until then, give the new jam a listen today.
