Olamide Suggests A Potential Collaborative Project With CKay

Nigerian Afrobeats musician CKay and Nigerian hip-hop legend Olamide are inclined to working together on a project.

Following the release of their most recent joint effort, “Wahala,” a fan requested on social media that Olamide and Ckay think about working together on a project. Olamide will respond to the message by saying, “whenever you’re ready broksi,” indicating that he is open to working with CKay on a collaborative endeavor.

Olamide and CKay recently collaborated on the song “Wahala,” which is a sequel to their 2-pack release of “Is It You?” and “Mysterious Love.” CKay delivers his own emo-pop and Afrobeats blend on “Wahala,” which was released on April 19, 2024. The song has already received over 4 million Spotify plays.

Olamide and CKay collaborated again on “Wahala,” following their 2023 release of “Trumpet,” the YBNL boss’s 10th album “Unruly,” which included Ckay. Olamide may also end the hiatus he suggested after the release of his most recent album, which he claimed might be his last, as a result of this initiative.

Collaborative projects in Nigerian music are becoming more common; Afrobeats artists Ruger & BNXN recently released a joint project, and Seyi Vibez’s label Vibez INC released a compilation album. The prospect of CKay and Olamide collaborating together on a project would excite fans who have been waiting for more music from the pair, who have shown that they get along well.
