On “SNL,” Donald Trump Remixes Pink Pantheress And Ice Spice’s “Boy’s A liar Pt. 2”

The indictment of Donald Trump has been among the greatest stories of the year so far, so it was only natural that Saturday Night Live would make fun of it on this weekend’s show. In case you missed it, the former president is now accused of paying Stormy Daniels hush money in order for her to remain quiet about their prior sexual encounter.

The world will see the reality star’s much awaited mugshot when he surrenders to the New York Police Department as scheduled in the upcoming days. The late-night comedy show added additional pertinent pop culture references to make commentary on Trump’s condition, as is customary for them. James Austin Johnson took on the role of the politician, proclaiming to the crowd that he is ready to be arrested.

“It’s time I come clean and admit I broke the law and go quietly to prison,” he says in a low tone, before exclaiming, “April Fools!”

The troubled singer then quips that he needs more funding for his legal defense team and is raising it by releasing two cover albums, NOW That’s What I Call My Legal Defense Fund and Trump Bopz, according to XXL. The 30 songs on the projects, according to the farce, are all renditions of songs by Trump.

The songs include “Islands in the Stream” by Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton and “Ironic” by Alanis Morissette. In addition, his son Donald Trump Jr. (played by Mikey Day) collaborated with him to remix “Boy’s a liar Pt. 2” by Ice Spice and Pink Pantheress, which has recently gained enormous popularity on TikTok.
