P Diddy Reacts To Recent Post Of Him Mocking Burna Boy’s Grammy Loss

Sean Love Combs, better known as P. Diddy, an American veteran rapper and multibillionaire music mogul, has responded to claims that he made fun of Burna Boy’s Grammy loss.

The 65th Grammy Awards, which took place on February 5, recently finished with the Nigerian artist being nominated in two categories.

Both of Burna Boy’s categories were lost, and then a purported post from Diddy mocking the musician for trying to win without him suddenly appeared online.
According to the previous post, which has already gone viral, the rapper wrote on his Instagram account:

“I helped you win your first and only Grammy award, which I did out of kindness, and somehow you thought you could win another without my help? Oh, okay.”

After multiple media outlets relayed the claim, PDiddy—who served as executive producer on Burna Boy’s 2020 album “Twice as Tall,” which earned him his first and only Grammy—publicly refuted it and claimed it was untrue. Using his verified Instagram account, he left a comment on the post. He said;

This is fake.”

Burna was nominated in the Best Global Music Album and Best Global Music Performance Categories and sadly lost to Masa Takumi’s “Sakura” and Nomcebo Zikode, Zakes Bantwini, and Wouter Kellerman’s ” Bayethe,” respectively.

Burna Boy’s “Twice as Tall” album won the Global Music Album category in 2021 and was executively produced by P. Diddy in 2020.
