Nigerian Afrobeats musician Peruzzi is gearing up to drop his first 2023 single. In a new Instagram post, Peruzzi has teased a new song titled “Pressure,” featuring YBNL superstar Fireboy DML. Three Heads produced the song. Fans know that the pairing up of Peruzzi and Fireboy DML for a record always births magic, regardless of who the producer is, as proven by their 2021 hit record “Southy Love.” The song was formerly released as a lead single for Peruzzi’s 20-track album “Rum & Boogie.”
The album, published in 2021, was a two-part album that played host to a number of smash songs and top acts like Davido, Tiwa Savage, Don Jazzy, Phyno, Wande Coal, Patoranking, of course, Fireboy DML. Since the release of his last album, the singer has been pushing the grind and getting a handful of features from other artists. He also released a couple of singles in between. He dropped a two-fold release late last year, dishing out “Hypertension” and “Things I Need.”
The former has already garnered over a million streams on Spotify, while the latter is nearing 400K total plays which are insane for tracks released just over a month ago. Still talking streaming stats, his 2021 hit with Fireboy is his most-streamed, with over 10 million streams. Will “Pressure” top that? We will have to stick around to find out. In the meantime, help yourself to the teaser below.
