Phony Ppl Release New Single “Dialtone.” Album Release Date For “Euphonyus”

Today, Brooklyn-based, five-person collective Phony Ppl unveils their latest single, “dialtone.” along with an eye-catching accompanying animated visual. The track will appear on the critically acclaimed genre-benders’ forthcoming album Euphonyus via 300 Entertainment set to be released on Friday, November 18th. The eclectically-charged latest single from the beguiling band glistens in feel-good funk as the collective delivers to their quintessential knack for creating music that sails in sonic allure. The visual for “dialtone.” was illustrated and animated by band member Bari Bass – showcasing the band as the multi-hyphenate creatives that they are.

Furthermore, Phony Ppl states “lyrically written in split screen, ‘dialtone.’ is actually two different songs at once! one song (the cause) is about a guy realizing space is only expanding between him and his lover. The other song (the effect) is about a relationship that only exists in the mind of said guy. Either way, there’s something wrong! Did they have something special, then drift apart? Or is it all in his head? … Maybe its all been in his head since they drifted. Either way, sing to the cause, whistle to the effect and dance to both at once.

Last month, the Brooklynites released their first music offering of the year, “Nowhere But Up,” met with a tantalizing accompanying official music video that now flows in over half a million views via YouTube. The blissful banger received the stamp from Okayplayer as ‘Best New Songs Of The Week,’ as acclaim from VIBE, Cool Hunting and more followed suit with praise. The song also recently achieved the most added status add Rhythmic radio with 25 R&B adds shortly after the unveiling. During the pandemic, the band learned how to make music as a unit without being physically together, a skill that birthed “Nowhere But Up”. The first iteration of the song was made collaboratively on Zoom through screen sharing, and adaptation of the times that would birth their next single.

Nowhere But Up” and “dialtone.” join the band’s previous single “Fkn Around” ft. Megan Thee Stallion and serve as a taste of what’s to come on their long awaited new album Euphonyus to be released November 18th.
