Polo G has today dropped the teaser for the video of his song, “Distraction”. The video set for release on June 3 features Kai Cenat in the visuals for Polo G’s first song since releasing the deluxe version of his 2021 album, Hall of Fame 2.0
The new video drops two months after the rapper revealed that he nearly overdosed before filming a music video for his song “Heartless” in 2019.
Although this new song would be Polo G’s first song in over a year, he has been featured in a handful of other projects in that period, including NLE Choppa’s “Unapologetic” and Fivio Foreign and Vory’s “Changed on Me.”
The video tells the story of a young man, played by Kai Cenat, as he struggles to complete daily tasks as he works on the chores, “Distractions” keep playing in the background, messing with Kai’s concentration as he can’t figure out where the sound is coming from. Kai puts on a pair of headphones at the end of the video, revealing a more extensive glimpse of the song, “Distraction.”
In a related development, the rapper will commence his scheduled international tour with a show in Norway on June 29 and close with a performance in Iowa on September 9. Therefore, the song is coming at a perfect time, tweeting the appetite of the fans of Polo G ahead of his tour.
