The Talented and prolific Temilade Openiyi, a.k.a. Tems, from Nigeria, has been nominated for the 95th Oscars ceremony, which is set to take place on March 12, 2023.

On Tuesday, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ Twitter account announced the 2023 nominations.

The 95th Academy Awards are planned to take place in Los Angeles, and Tems was nominated in the category of Best Original Song.

For her collaboration with Rihanna on the song “Lift Me Up,” she was nominated for the Best Original Song award. In the category of “Best Original Song,” the group received a nomination.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’s soundtrack included the song “Lift Me Up” from Marvel. The heartfelt ballad was co-written by Tems and Rihanna, while Ludwig Göransson produced the music.

Tems has recently been in the spotlight for being nominated for various awards this year due to her hard work and collaboration successes.
