Indie-rock legend J Mascis of Dinosaur Jr., award-winning graphic designer Aaron Draplin (of Draplin Design Company), and 7S Management have announced the official launch of Puzzle-Heads, a new jigsaw puzzle subscription service showcasing carefully curated classic rock ‘n’ roll imagery and album art. The bimonthly puzzle club kicks off with a very special jigsaw celebrating the 50th anniversary of David Bowie’s 1972 masterpiece, The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders From Mars, available now to new subscribers exclusively via puzzle-heads.com.
Puzzle-Heads subscriptions are open now, including a 6-Puzzle Subscription ($150) and a 3-Puzzle Subscription ($81). The first puzzle ships in December 2022, just in time for the holiday season. Free shipping is available to all Puzzle=Heads subscribers in the continental United States. The first 500 subscribers receive a complimentary custom-designed Puzzle-Heads puzzle mat.
The first subscription year of Puzzle-Heads will see new puzzles featuring iconic imagery from such artists as Dinosaur Jr., Joy Division, Bad Brains, Wilco, Sharon Van Etten & Angel Olsen, and more. Subscribers are invited to help curate Puzzle-Heads by sending wish lists and sharing pictures of works in progress across social media. An exclusive video message from Puzzle-Heads Partner/Curator J Mascis is streaming now at puzzle-heads.com.
“Many of us have always loved a good jigsaw puzzle and many of us became fans during the pandemic,” says Brian Schwartz, Founding Partner at 7S Management. “I personally always had a puzzle on the table, and during the pandemic, I found myself searching for imagery that wasn’t available. I wanted puzzles to just show up at my doorstep so we decided to do it ourselves. All of us at Puzzle-Heads love puzzles and we love music. We happen to have day jobs in music and so we have the network to license some of the most iconic cover imagery and rock ‘n’ roll art out there. With J and Aaron helping to curate, we’ll make Puzzle Heads members come back for more. We hope all the Puzzle-Heads out there enjoy many hours of piecing our puzzles. Get It Together!”
Puzzle-Heads will donate a sensory necklace or sensory toy for every new subscription to benefit children with autism.
