Quavo Remembers Takeoff With New Song, “Without You,” Accompanied By Visuals

With his new song “Without You,” Quavo has created a moving ode to Takeoff. After being shot and killed in November outside a bowling alley in Houston, Texas, the rapper for the group Migos lost his bandmate and nephew. In the song “Without You,” Quavo sings about one day seeing “you in heaven.” He considers the achievements and failures of their career.

Later in the song, Quavo makes mention of his first joint album with Takeoff, “Only Built For Infinity Links,” which was released in October as a project of theirs known as Unc & Phew. Unfortunately, at 28, Takeoff (actual name Kirsnick Khari Ball) passed away on November 1, 2022. According to Houston police, the shooting outside a bowling alley at around 2.30 a.m. was the result of an altercation over a “lucrative” game of dice. Still, the rapper was “an innocent bystander” and not involved.

Before being apprehended on December 1, Patrick Xavier Clark, 33, the man accused of fatally shooting Takeoff, allegedly searched how to obtain bogus airline tickets. These allegations have been refuted by Clark, who has also maintained his innocence in the murder case and denied shooting Takeoff. Quavo has also penned a letter to his late nephew after Takeoff’s open memorial in November.
