Reactions Follow A Video Showing Asake Praying With Muslim Clergy

A viral video showing popular music musician Ahmed Ololade, often known as Asake, praying has sent tongues churning on the internet. In the video, Asake kneels in front of an Islamic cleric who recites the Quran while they pray. Many people appreciated Asake’s spirituality. However, detractors argue that Asake is only getting this because of the emergence of his rival, Seyi Vibez.

Seyi Vibez has been tearing up the business for a few months now. The release of his body of work, Billion Dollar Baby volumes 1 and 2, has created quite a stir. There have also been discussions on Asake’s incapacity to pull off Seyi’s exploits. It’s worth noting that Seyi Vibez’s latest project, Memory Lane, debuted as the number-one album on Apple Music earlier this week.

Examining this situation, it’s funny how people take one thing out of context, make speculations, and just run off with it. Of course, it’s possible Asake was just being prayed for something personal or any other reason, but that does not concern many Nigerian fans constantly trying to pit artists against themselves by comparing and turning every move into a competition.
