Rema, a Nigerian musician best known for his famous song “Calm Down,” is preparing to perform for Indian audiences in three locations. On Tuesday, the musician was spotted traveling to Mumbai in preparation for his Rema Calm Down India Tour. The 23-year-old performer was welcomed in magnificent Maharashtrian fashion at the airport.
He can be seen in footage posted by paparazzi accounts sporting a super-cool ensemble of a green hooded jacket and pants. To welcome him to India, a crowd of supporters had gathered. Rema was observed taking a video with his phone of the event.
Rema shared the clips on Instagram stories. “Finally!” with an Indian flag and a crying face emoji appeared in his first post. The Mumbai airport was included as the location as well. Next, he wrote, “The love is HUGE wow.” The musician also tweeted a photo of himself sporting a turban and stated, “Ok I need an Indian Name asap!” in another post.
Three Indian cities will host the Rema Calm Down India Tour. On May 12, it will get underway at JLN Stadium in New Delhi. The tour will end in Hyderabad on May 14 at Prism after his final performance on May 13 at Mumbai’s NSCI Dome.
