Since its 2022 debut, the song has been a huge hit, earning multiple certifications for its record-breaking sales. Rema has become well-known throughout the world as a result of his distinctive sound and dynamic performance. In the US, the popular song is reaching new heights. The song “Calm Down” by Rema and Selena Gomez has just topped the Billboard Rhythmic Airplay chart for the week ending May 6.

With his first charting success, Rema has achieved his first Rhythmic Airplay No. 1. Following Coi Leray’s six-week reign with “Players,” the format has now had two consecutive No. 1s by first-time leaders. Since Steve Lacy, whose song “Bad Habit” topped the charts for a week in November of last year, “Calm Down” is the first No. 1 by an artist in their debut on Rhythmic Airplay.

“Calm Down” rose 3-2 to a new peak on Pop Airplay concurrently. Adult Pop Airplay and R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay debuted at No. 24 and No. 35, respectively. “Calm Down” maintained its position at No. 4 on the all-format Radio Songs chart for the week of April 29 with 72.4 million audience impressions, according to Luminate.
