Revelation: Davido Spends 100 Million Naira On His First Music Video From “Timeless” Album With TG Omori

David Adeleke, also known as Davido, recently admitted to paying TG Omori a whopping N100 million to produce the music video for a song from his fourth studio album, “Timeless.”

The singer of “Omo Baba Olowo” revealed this in a recent chat with Lagos’ Beats FM. OBO talked about how challenging it was for him to release the album and how painful it was to grieve for those he had lost, particularly his son, who passed away a few weeks before the album’s planned release. However, Davido made it clear that he did not want to appear melancholy or depressed on the album and did his best to produce strong songs.

On March 31, 2023, the musician dropped his eagerly expected album, “Timeless.” Unfortunately, as many had hoped, the Davido and TG Omori video is not for “No Competition” with Asake but for “LCND- Legends Can Never Die.” The video, in his opinion, cost the most ever in the records of Nigerian music.

Appreciating his attention to detail, Davido said,

“I’m excited about the record. We shot the video with TG. And I’m proud to say that’s Nigeria’s first N100m video. The video was like six days shoot. And I came for three. He shot the other three days. The video was like a storyline. Shoutout to him; he’s amazing.”

Recall that TG Omori recently drew criticism for boasting that he is the nation’s most widely recognized musical director. As he is affectionately known, Boy Director asserted he is friends with most Nigerian music video makers. He acknowledged their talent level but insisted that none of them was superior to him.
