Rick Ross Teases His Upcoming Joint Effort With Blaqbonez

American superstar rapper, Rick Ross, has provided a sneak peek of his upcoming collaboration with Nigerian musician Blaqbonez.

On June 10, 2024, Rick Ross teased the song on his Instagram account, featuring a clip of Blaqbonez’s verse. The forthcoming collaboration with Blaqbonez comes after Rick Ross had declared his intention to produce an album including various artists from the African continent.

When he declared earlier in the year that he wanted to release an album based on Africa, Rick Ross included artist Odumodublvck and Nigerian street hop star Portable in his shout-outs. Later, the Miami rapper joined Odumodublvck for an Instagram live session where the award-winning Nigerian rapper offered him a crash course in Afrobeats.

During the Instagram live session, Rick Ross enthusiastically praised Odumodublvck’s song “Wotowoto Seasoning,” which featured Black Sheriff and was garnering recognition in the US. Rick Ross and Blaqbonez’s joint project is probably one of the first songs off the American rapper’s African album. On the album, Ross lists Ayra Starr, a dancehall star from Ghana, Tanzanian superstar Diamond Platinum, and Nigerian Grammy-nominated artist Ayra Starr as artists he would love to collaborate with.

The MMG boss, who was featured by the legendary Nigerian duo P-Square on the remix of their hit song “Beautiful Oyinye” in 2011, has come full circle with his desired cooperation with Nigerian artists.
