During his Tuesday pick-up of Chili at the Los Angeles airport, Matthew Lawrence was seen holding her and kissing her. The “Boy Meets World” star, who is 43, was also spotted opening the TLC singer’s car door before returning to the driver’s seat as they cozy up.
The highly public display of affection comes two months after Chili, whose real name is Rozonda Thomas, revealed their relationship in an Instagram video of them dancing while wearing matching pajamas. In fact, at the time, Chilli’s representative, Cristal Jordan, told media sources, “I’ve been with Chilli since 2005, and I’ve never seen her this in love.” She also implied that They make a lovely couple.
The singer’s representative told the media that the pair had been friends for a long time, but things finally became romantic around Thanksgiving.
The new couple celebrated the holidays in Atlanta, and Chili, 52, even gave Lawrence his family’s Christmas presents. The “Mrs. Doubtfire” actor and the singer of “Waterfalls,” whom he has referred to as “one of the most spectacular people,” initially fueled dating rumors when they were sighted on a Hawaiian beach in August of last year.
Her representative, however, denied their relationship at the time, saying Chili was in town for a gig and they had gotten together to hang out with some other pals. The actor from “Brotherly Love” just got a divorce after three years of marriage to Cheryl Burke, and they agreed to divide their assets equally.
Burke criticized her ex-husband for moving on so “quickly” after news of Chili and Lawrence’s new relationship broke. On the other hand, Chili has been in well-known romances with Usher and music producer Dallas Austin but has never been married. Tron, their 25-year-old son, is the child of the Grammy-winning performer and Austin.
