Ruger Reacts To His Hit Song Dominating The Charts For Four Weeks In A Row

Nigeria’s Dancehall star, Ruger, is counting his blessings.

The Jonzing World signee has been enjoying a ton of success since his breakthrough into the industry with his debut “Pandemic” EP. Even more, success was achieved when he dropped the sequel to his first project, “The Second Wave,” which produced a few hard-hitting tracks that dominated the charts this year. Then, not too long ago, the singer published two new singles, “Asiwaju” and “Red Flags,” both of which have garnered loads of attention and streams.

The singer, full of gratitude, expressed his appreciation and love for the love and support he has been receiving from his fans from the start of his career and, more significantly, for keeping his smash hit “Asiwaju” pegged at number one for a whole month. The song, which has also received an accompanying incredible music video, has stayed on top of the Apple Music Nigeria hot 100 singles chart for four weeks and counting.

Upon its release, controversies sprung up that the song could only get to the top spot due to the use of “streaming farms,” where record labels set up numerous pseudo accounts on streaming platforms for the sole purpose of streaming their artist’s music nonstop. Ruger, however, has laughed at such claims, promising a more eventful 2023 for his fans.
