Saweetie Feels That She “Blew Up Too Quick” And Wants To Put Music First

Fans of Saweetie have all but given up hope of ever hearing her official first album by this point. The release of Pretty B*tch Music has been delayed repeatedly despite being anticipated years ago. Although Saweetie has committed to work hard to produce the finest album she can and has even teased new songs, it is still unclear when to anticipate it.

Saweetie previously revealed that she was imprisoned and engaged in some form of “boot camp” to hone her skills. She recently explained to Yung Miami why she made the decision to take a break from performing live when that announcement was made.

Saweetie started posting videos of herself rapping about ten years ago, but it wasn’t until 2017 that she started to gain attention. She discussed taking some time for herself and feeling like celebrity came a little too quickly during her Caresha Please interview. “Like I said, I was doin’ a lot of soul searchin’. I was in the studio, and I really just wanted to take time to really become a artist,” she said.

“I felt like I blew up too quick,” Saweetie continued. “To the point where like, I was being booked for shows, for campaigns, for brands, and no one really cared about me being in the studio. And like, my love for music kinda just got put on the backside, so I really wanted to focus on my artistry because I never had the opportunity to do that.”
