Selena Gomez Comments On The Controversy Caused By Her Claim That Taylor Swift Is Her “Only Friend In The Industry”
Recently-made comments by Selena Gomez concerning her friendship with Taylor Swift have been clarified. Gomez acknowledged that she found it difficult to make relationships with those in the entertainment business in an interview with Rolling Stone.
“I never fit in with a cool group of girls that were celebrities,” she said. “My only friend in the industry really is Taylor [Swift] , so I remember feeling like I didn’t belong.”
Some people began to speculate when the “My Mind & Me” singer’s remarks went viral that they were a jab at her friend Francia Raisa, who had once given her a kidney. Raisa left the “Interesting” comment on an E! News post that featured Gomez’s claim that Swift was her “only friend in the industry,” according to a screenshot gathered by CommentsbyCelebs.
Shortly after being posted, the comment appeared to have been removed. Fans also observed that Raisa no longer follows Gomez on Instagram shortly after her comment. In the comments section of a TikTok video that featured the topic, Gomez offered her opinion on the alleged speculative claims, writing: “Sorry I didn’t mention every person I know.”
Since 2007, when they first connected during a trip to a children’s hospital, Raisa and Gomez have been pals. Raisa donated her kidney to Gomez, who suffers from the autoimmune disorder lupus, about ten years later.
