Seun Kuti Reveals That Tunde Ednut Wanted Him Imprisoned

Seun Kuti, a Nigerian Afrobeats musician, said that famous blogger Tunde Ednut wanted his police assault case to result in his imprisonment. During a live Instagram session, he asserted that Tunde wanted him to do time in prison because he owed him money from a previous business arrangement.

According to Seun, he paid the singer turned blogger two years ago to post 10 promotional pieces for him, but the blogger posted just one. According to him, Tunde still owes him nine postings, and since he was unable to complete the rest or reimburse the money, he was actively working to have him (Seun) put in prison.

Seun also claimed that the only blogger in Nigeria who knows his phone number and contacts him directly is Tunde. The Afrobeats superstar claimed that the blogger’s recent online attacks on him were done solely to get rid of him and prevent him from being able to ask that he sticks to the terms of the agreement.

Seun Kuti has also spoken about his experience while being detained in the police cell, especially his first day, characterizing it as challenging. After spending a week in custody at the State Criminal Investigation Department in Panti, Yaba, Lagos, he was released on May 23. Seun revealed that he spent the entire day in a police cell rather than being placed in Kirikiri prison.
