Wiyaala Speaks, Says Shatta Wale Has Apologised After His Team Member Blocked Her From Receiving Citation Award In The United States
Controversial singer Shatta Wale has apologized to fellow musician Wiyaala after a member of his team blocked her from joining him on stage and receiving her citation award in the United States.
Both musicians were to have received their awards on the same stage. But while Shatta Wale made it to the stage and got his award, Wiyaala was barred from making it to the stage and getting her citation award as well.
After the occasion, the organizers had reportedly made an effort to give the award to her backstage. But she rejected it outright. A furious Wiyaala noted that unless there was an acceptable explanation for what happened that day, she had no intention of receiving the Citation of Merit awarded her by the Bronx Borough.
She clarified her stance on the situation in a lengthy Facebook post and ended with “case closed,” meaning that she might not want to be disturbed with anything regarding her spurning the award again.
Shatta Wale reached out to her soon after. He noted that much in a clip she shared soon after, stating that the “Ginger” crooner had explained things to her. From the look of things, she’s accepted his apology and moved on.
