Nigerian singer-songwriter and producer Simi is on a roll, and we are here for it!
Hours ago, the talented songstress shared a series of tweets on her official Twitter handle, which perfectly describe the present deplorable state of the country. She began by stating how Blacks have to struggle and labor for their “space and respect and survival everywhere they go” due to the trauma brought on by the horrible treatment received in a place they should call home.
She said the crazy situation ought to rouse our leaders from their deep slumber, but no. Instead, they remain adamant in their cruel ways, blind and deaf to the plights of the masses. She said the one thing that drives our leaders is their bellies and that they only care about their families and what concerns them, not the masses. Simisola noted that no one loves to move so far away from the people and things they love but that the tough call is no longer an option for many because personal survival is paramount.
In another tweet, which was a quoted retweet to TVC News’ report on the Lagos State government spending 1.2 billion naira to clear outstanding pensions, the singer laughed off the pretentious act as she wondered where the money had been all this time and had not been disbursed to government workers that have earned their wages. Check out her tweets below.
