Singer Normani Teases Debút Album, Reveals The Artists She Would Love To Work With In The Future

Normani has assured her fans of new music coming out sooner rather than later. “I’m dropping another song in the next month,” the singer said in a recent interview with “Good Morning America.”

After having released her latest single, “Fair,” last month, Normani has now unveiled that her highly-anticipated debút solo project is scheduled for a summer release, which would then be closely followed by a fall tour. The Atlanta-born singer revealed how creating “Fair” was a “therapeutic outlet” for her.

“It was just a real opportunity for me just to have a breakthrough — not just musically, but that’s some real s— that I was going through — this idea of perfection,” she said. “For me, this was a step into, ‘It’s OK not to be OK all the time.'”

Though Normani said the song is a chance for fans to see her vulnerable and human, she also believes it gave her the right nudge to square up with future challenges. In a new interview with BET, she mentioned a few artists she would love to kick it with on a record.

“I would love to collaborate with Lil Nas X, that’s my boo. That would go off and it would only be right for the culture. It doesn’t make sense if we didn’t do anything. Doja Cat I’m a fan of and she’s an incredible talent. And of course, Rihanna and Beyoncé.”
