Stranger Things 4: Kate Bush Reportedly Earns $2.3 Million From The Use Of Her Song “Running Up That Hill”

Long after she released the song “Running Up That Hill,” the money has been rolling in for Kate Bush. Just recently, it was reported that she had earned about $2.3 million from the use of the song in Stranger Things 4.

Stranger Things is one horror dash of a series featuring Millie Bobby Brown (as Eleven) and Jamie Campbell Bower (as Vecna).

Running Up That Hill” was released in 1985 and was a big hit back then. She owned the copyright to the song, so making the sums she just did was pretty easy. However, since its use in Stranger Things 4, the song has achieved what it couldn’t for the past three decades.

For instance, it has reached number one in New Zealand, Switzerland and Australia, as well as smashed three Guinness World Records, becoming the oldest female artist to reach Number One in the United Kingdom. She also has the longest gap between Number One.

The streaming stats of the music video for the song was just as impressive. Released in 2011, the video currently has over 85 million views and over 1 million likes on YouTube. If you haven’t watched it already, you can check it out below.

Maybe this is just the beginning for Kate Bush. Who knows.
