Tank Discusses Why Tyrese And Ginuwine Were Left Out Of “R&B Money”

Although Tank’s 10th and final album, R&B Money, has received positive reviews from music enthusiasts, some of Tank’s fans were unhappy to learn that neither Tyrese nor Ginuwine were featured on the album. Appearances were anticipated given that the two were a part of the supergroup TGT alongside Tank, which disbanded following reports that it was challenging to get everyone on the same page.

When Tank visited Majic 107.5/97.5, he was questioned about why his prior collaborators weren’t included in the final product. Tank claims that he reached out, but they failed to respond in a timely manner. Tyrese and Ginuwine were both interested in appearing on R&B Money, he claimed, but the way they go about making music didn’t fit with his schedule.

“They move too slow,” Tank bluntly stated. “Yeah, they were interested… These guys take long. That’s their process. I’m the studio rat. I’m the guy that gets in the studio and does three, four songs a day. Those are the guys that get in the studio and do three, four songs a month. Those are those guys. So, with me, like, when I’m in the moment, you gotta meet me in the moment. It’s right now, it’s hot right now!”
