Tems Debuts A New Song On Jimmy Fallon’s Tonight Show

Nigerian Afrobeats superstar, Tems, completely stole the show and dropped several jaws at Jimmy Fallon’s The Tonight Show!

Ahead of her debut album release, Tems for the first time performed a new song off the album, for the audience on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. The Grammy winner began her perfomance with a sneak peek of the album’s title track, “Born In The Wild,” a ballad featuring mellow instrumentals.

After that, Tems gave a graceful performance of her most recent hit, “Love Me Jeje,” which featured a sample of the iconic song of the same name by Shaffy Bello and Seyi Sodimu. With her most recent appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Tems has had two appearances on American television after co-starring in ‘Essence’ with Wizkid in 2021.

With much anticipation for nearly two years, Tems just revealed that her debut album, “Born In the Wild,” will be published in June 2024. During an interview with Apple Music, Tems disclosed that the album is influenced by her journey of self-discovery, unlearning, and relearning.

The three songs preceding the much-awaited album are “Me & U,” for which she received 2024 BET nominations, “I’m Not An Angel,” and most recently, “Love Me Jeje,” which has racked up over 17 million Spotify streams in less than a month.
