‘The Adam Project’ & Ryan Reynolds poke fun at the multiverse in new trailer for an upcoming Netflix’s sci-fi flick

The multiverse has blown up to become a relatively new concept in blockbuster cinema, but that didn’t hinder Netflix from poking fun at its growing popularity with the official, action-packed trailer for “The Adam Project”. Right off the bat, young Adam Reed, played by Walker Scobell, raises the paradoxical topic of time travel and brings it to the forefront of the conversation.

“Do you remember this?” he questions his older self (played by Ryan Reynolds). “I mean, if this is happening to me, it already happened to you, right? Unless it works more like a multiverse where each ripple creates an alternate timeline…”

“It’s not a multiverse,” Reynolds’ exasperated character shoots back. “God, we watched too many movies.”

Returning for a second collaboration with Free Guy director, Shawn Levy, the Deadpool actor steps into the fictional shoes of a hotshot fighter pilot from the future who must combine forces with the childhood version of himself in order to inhibit time-travel from ever seeing the light of day.

To do that, though, they need to find the progenitor of quantum displacement who so happens to be their father, played by Mark Ruffalo. Jennifer Garner and Zoe Saldana are also amongst the main cast for the series.

The Adam Project comes to Netflix next Friday, March 11th. Below is the must-see trailer:
