The Rolling Stones Announce The 30th Anniversary Editions Of “Voodoo Lounge”

Special copies of the iconic band The Rolling Stones’ Grammy-winning 1994 album Voodoo Lounge are being released this summer in physical and digital formats to commemorate the album’s 30th anniversary. Four more tracks that make their streaming service debuts are included in the release.

The reissues, which go on sale starting on July 12, honor a studio album that went on to win a Grammy Award for Best Rock Album and sold more than six million copies worldwide. The album featured hits including “You Got Me Rocking,” “Out Of Tears,” and the UK top 20 single “Love Is Strong.”

The two 2-LP red and yellow vinyl edition and the additional 2-LP red and yellow vinyl that includes a white vinyl ten-inch disk with the four bonus tracks are the 30th anniversary releases, which will also include a merchandise line. These were all Jagger-Richards songs, just like the album, with the exception of one, which was written in Windmill Lane Studios in Dublin at the conclusion of Voodoo Lounge recording sessions.

The four tracks—”I’m Gonna Drive,” the original B-side of the “Out Of Tears” single featuring a superb slide guitar solo by Ronnie Wood; the upbeat “So Young,” “Jump On Top Of Me,” the B-side of “You Got Me Rocking,” and “The Storm”—are now accessible for the first time on streaming services.
