The Weeknd Adds A Second Gig At SoFi Stadium After Postponing His LA Performance Due To Vocal Difficulties

The Weeknd announced a new date for his concert at Inglewood, California’s SoFi Stadium, making good on his prior pledge to visit Los Angeles after being forced to postpone a performance. The Canadian singer revealed a second performance, which would wrap up the “After Hours Til Dawn” tour, will take place the night after the newly scheduled date.

“RESCHEDULED LOS ANGELES SHOW PLUS ONE MORE! NOVEMBER 26 and 27!” he tweeted on Tuesday afternoon to millions of his followers.

The “Blinding Lights” performer promised his passionate fans at the time that he would return to perform for them once more after ending the sold-out gig in LA on Sept. 3 after only a few songs due to vocal issues. On the second sold-out night of his worldwide stadium tour, fans filled the brand-new 70,000-seat venue in Inglewood, California, only to be let down when he abruptly ended the entire production a few songs into the show.

Afterwards he tweeted, “My voice went out during the first song and I’m devastated. Felt it go and my heart dropped. My deepest apologies to my fans here. I promise I’ll make it up to you with a new date.” A short while later, he reappeared and apologized for having to stop the show.
