The Weeknd is back on the road after a slight setback that disappointed his Los Angeles supporters. The megastar experienced a health issue a few days ago while he was in the middle of his sold-out tour. The Weeknd was performing at SoFi Stadium when he abruptly left the stage as he was just beginning his third song.
Fans can be seen mumbling in disbelief in a video posted online, and the artist afterwards uploaded a message with the words: “My voice went out during the first song and I’m devastated. Felt it go and my heart dropped. My deepest apologies to my fans here. I promise I’ll make it up to you with a new date.”
It was anticipated that The Weeknd would take a lengthy break from performing as he recovered from such a serious setback. But he revealed on Wednesday (September 6), just in time to travel to his native Toronto, Canada, that he was heading back on the road.
“Doctor says my voice is safe and with rest i’ll be solid and able to bring the show my TORONTO fans are waiting for,” he wrote in the caption of an Instagram post. “LA date is being worked out soon. thank you SO much for all the love and understanding that’s come my way. i love you all so much… XO.”
