“Timeless” By Davido Sets A Fresh Spotify Record For The Most Streams In A Single Week
Davido launched his eagerly awaited fourth album on March 31, 2023. The album has been setting records since it came out, the most recent being a new record for the first week of listening on Spotify Nigeria. Davido’s “Timeless” broke the previous record for the number of listens in a debut week on Spotify Nigeria just 24 hours after its release.
At 14.5 million plays after one week, the album has blown the previous record of 4.89 million streams held by Burna Boy’s “Love, Damini.”

The 17-track record-breaker has been the most streamed album in a week on Boomplay, Apple Music Africa, Audiomack Global, and Spotify Nigeria. In addition, while “Timeless” is currently ranked second on Apple Music’s US Albums chart, a record for an African album, it also broke the record for the most simultaneous African tracks in Apple Music’s Global Daily Top 100. Davido’s fourth album further demonstrates his proficiency with the music industry and the timing of album releases.
On “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert,” Davido recently played two songs from his most recent album. Before that, he entertained a modest group of fans in Irvine Plaza in New York. On April 23, 2023, at Tafa Balewa Square in Lagos, Davido will give his first performance in months.
