Following the online emergence of a video of an APC presidential candidate, #tinubumic is one of the trending topics on the famous microblogging platform, Twitter. APC presidential flag bearer Ahmed Bola Tinubu, a former governor of Lagos State, is shown giving a speech during the APC convention in 2022 in a video that has gone viral online. Along with other APC members, Tinubu was accompanied on stage during the public event by his wife, Oluremi Tinubu.
However, Tinubu had trouble using the microphone on stage while speaking, and that was just the beginning. Tinubu stunned many people while testing the microphone by taking a further step and licking it, which triggered a range of responses. Even his wife showed disbelief at her husband’s microphone-tasting drama and swooped in to save the day by helping him test the microphone before it became functional.

This would not be the first time the APC presidential aspirant has been caught in an embarrassing situation of this magnitude. There have been a few instances where Tinubu either had visibly shaky hands and other incidents where he trailed off from his original speech to mumble gibberish, unintelligible words, which also sparked an online debate that caused many to question if the man was physically fit for his lofty presidential aspirations.
