Trina Will Be Honored At The 2022 BET Hip-Hop Awards With The “I Am Hip Hop” Award

Trina is at last receiving the respect she deserves after releasing six studio albums and 20 years in the business. Up-and-coming female rappers frequently give The Miami Queen credit for being one of the pioneering female hip-hop artists who “talk that talk” and gave women a voice in the industry. In 2018, City Girls member, Yung Miami, discussed the impact of the “Single Again” artist on her life.

“Trina’s like my God-mom, you know,” she shared. “Trina grew up like raising me. Like her and my mom was friends back in the day.” Following her appearance on the Atlanta rapper’s “B*tch From Da South” Remix, Latto also praised the Diamond Princess.

As Trina will get the “I Am Hip Hop” Award at the 2022 BET Hip Hop Awards, the entire hip hop community can now present her with flowers. Regarding the esteemed distinction, the “Baddest B***” said:  “I am honored to receive and accept the 2022 I Am Hip Hop Award presented by BET. As a legend with over 20 years in the music industry, consistency and unity have contributed to my Rockstarr power as a femcee. I believe when one woman wins, whether it’s in front of the camera or behind the scenes, we all WIN. Let’s keep winning!”
