“Un Verano Sin Ti” By Bad Bunny Becomes The No. 1 Album For The Longest Stretch In More Than five Years

The album “Un Verano Sin Ti” by Bad Bunny has secured another non-consecutive week at number one, marking its 11th appearance in that position over the course of the 19 weeks since its debut. A similar feat hadn’t been accomplished since Drake’s song “Views,” which spent 13 nonconsecutive weeks at number one in 2016.

Despite the fact that Bad Bunny’s runs for “Views” and “Un Verano” weren’t consecutive, he has yet to fall below a No. 2 position. According to Luminate through Billboard, “Un Verano” debuted with album sales in the US of 97,000. Harry Styles, a former member of One Direction, also achieves a record milestone of 14 weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 song chart, the longest run at the summit since Lil Nas X’s chart-topping song “Old Town Road,” featuring Billy Ray Cyrus, logged 19 weeks at the top in 2019.

With 23 weeks spent in the top two spots of the Hot 100 list out of its 24 weeks on the chart, “As It Was” now retains the record for that feat. Steve Lacy’s “Bad Habit” continues to be at No. 2; Nicki Minaj’s “Super Freaky Girl,” her former No. 1 single, jumps from No. 7 to No. 3 thanks to the release of the song’s “Queen Mix” remix; Post Malone’s “I Like It (A Happier Song),” ft. Doja Cat narrowly re-enters the top five on the music chart.
