Retailer, Undefeated, is commemorating the 20th anniversary of launching its first location in La Brea during a historic year for anniversaries in the sneaker business. The 40th anniversary of Nike’s most recognizable model, the Air Force 1, is being celebrated with a year-long campaign by longstanding partner Nike.
For the “Multicolor Patent Pack,” which combines the two for brand-new, contemporary implementations, the early 2000s serve as inspiration. The initial release, which is limited to North America, is called “Community.” The upper panels are filled with panels of cyan blue, teal green, and pastel pink, each one unique.
A modest 5-Strike is debossed into the heel, the sides are branded with the transparent gold Swoosh, the tongue is adorned with orange and red woven tongue labels, and the laces are inset with an easily removable ‘UNDFTD’ dubrae. An opposing bone-white sole completes the look.
In order to benefit the city of Los Angeles’ underprivileged residents, Compton Community Garden and Feed the Streets LA joined together with Undefeated and Nike to commemorate the release of the “Community” colorway. On Saturday, a unique invitation-only event took place in LA.
The “Community” UNDFTD x Air Force 1 Low will be on sale for $160 on November 13 at all Undefeated chapter doors in the US and on undefeated.com. A second launch will take place at specific Nike community retail partners on a later date.
